VSZ inaugurates new office for the Quilombola Association

Ventos de São Zacarias inaugurates new office for the Quilombola Association in Serra da Mata Grande, Simões (PI) 

On December 19, Ventos de São Zacarias (VSZ) participated in the inauguration of the new office of the Remnant Quilombola Association of Serra da Mata Grande in Simões (PI). The new space is the result of a partnership between VSZ and the local community to strengthen the culture, tradition, and customs of the region's inhabitants, providing the quilombola community with a space for events, debates, and important deliberations for the collective. 

The inauguration of the new headquarters brought together various residents, local farmers, and representatives from VSZ. Adilson dos Reis e Silva, the president of the Association, expressed gratitude for the contribution of VSZ in responding to the community's request for a space to serve as the Association's headquarters. "It is a moment of great happiness to be here gathered with the community," he emphasized, referring to the achievement of the space facilitated by VSZ. 

VSZ CEO Bruno Vasconcelos highlighted the company's desire to maintain a positive relationship with the community. "This project reinforces the commitment of Ventos of São Zacarias to the local residents. We hope that this will endure for a long time," he said. Both he and VSZ's Sustainability Coordinator, Kalleb Oliveira, reiterated that caring for the territory, its people, and their customs is a primary commitment of the company. "One of our goals is to uphold the tradition of sustainability and environmental protection with the community," Bruno stated during the inauguration ceremony of the Association.
