VSZ energizes new substation

VSZ's new energized substation boosts regional wind potential 

At the forefront of the energy transition, a new wind energy substation has been officially energized at Ventos de São Zacarias, marking a significant milestone for the regional energy landscape. Strategically located on the windy plains of the northeast, in the municipalitie of Simões (PI), the substation is ready to amplify the area's wind potential, boosting the production of clean, renewable energy. 

With energization completed, the substation is now ready to receive the electricity generated by the modern wind turbines that dot the landscape, converting the power of the wind into electricity ready to power local homes and businesses. This project represents a significant step towards a more sustainable and diversified brazilian energy matrix.

The Ventos de São Zacarias substation is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to guarantee the efficient and safe transmission of the electricity generated by the wind turbines. With advanced protection systems and real-time monitoring, the stability and reliability of the energy supply is guaranteed, even in challenging weather conditions. 

As well as boosting the local economy with investments in infrastructure and job creation, the new substation also represents tangible progress towards the region's carbon emission reduction targets.
